We are proud of our successful products, maybe you have heard of Simba, Boltec, Minetruck, Scooptram or Boomer. These machines are some of the underground products that we develop within URE R&D. Mining industries are changing and a future area where we want to be number one is automation and its possibilities to develop functions and products that create great value for our customers today and in the future. In this role, you will work with Atlas Copco products in the area of Automation at URE R&D. You will take part in developing our future automation products.
As Product Engineer (PE) Automation you will be in charge of the maintenance work of our products. You will write technical specifications in the new development projects to make sure that we have the right hardware and functions on our products. In this role, you will work in close cooperation with our Technical Product Manager (TPM) Automation who is technical product owner. Daily work tasks involve specification, risk analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting, project management, etc.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
To be successful in this role we believe that you have an education in electrical or electronic engineering or similar. It is considered a merit if you have previous knowledge of our products. You also need to have common knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and powertrain systems. We prefer that you have good knowledge in electronics, software, remote control systems and have worked with specifications within these areas.

You enjoy working with other people whether it is customers, contacts in the organization or members of the team. You are result oriented and have a strong desire to achieve set goals and deliver a good result. You have a positive attitude and work proactively while you are a good problem solver. You have great communication skills, handling both internally and externally contacts in your daily work. You are self-motivated, thorough, have a structured way of working and are inspired in a dynamic environment.
