The Resident Product Engineer will be responsible for technical specification access and interpretation, permanent and temporary change approval, data analysis, PPAP approval and general technical support for the operation.

As Resident Product Engineer, your Key Accountabilities are:
o Access and understanding of Teamcenter PLM software
o Provide technical guidance on print and specification interpretation and ensure alignment with global design requirements
o Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and associated measurement methods
o Align stakeholders and approve permanent change requests using the BW process (PDSCR in Teamcenter)
o Align stakeholders and approve temporary change requests using the BW process (TCR/P on ICE)
o Ensure organized and documented change implementation process is followed in the operation
o Review and approve Production Trial Run (PTR) results
o Review and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions for components and subassemblies and ensure all agreed upon criteria for change implementation is complete.
Profile and Background
Education & Experience:
o B.S. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
o 5 years of engineering experience preferred
o Experience with electric motors and IC engines
o Mechanical Aptitude/Technical background
o Self-directed/self motivated
o Good follow through skills with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Customer contact experience
o Product and Program Launch experience
Preferred Software/ Hardware and General Training:
o MS Office ( Excel/Word/PowerPoint /Project)
o Teamcenter - PLM software
o Root Cause Analysis and/or 8D Problem Solving
o Technical Writing
o DFMEA
o Electric motor design
