We need you to join the team and together strengthen the proactive quality culture of our chassis engineering department.
We offer you

The team
We are a department of about 230 product development engineers who deal with chassis components and installation for heavy duty vehicles - e.g. chassis frame, engine installation, suspension, cooling, axles, brakes. In close co-operation with people from other parts of the Volvo Group, we are responsible to develop the future of transportation and ensure seamless use of the vehicles by our customers. We work in an enthusiastic atmosphere where customer focus, team spirit, agility and trust are key characteristics.
During your days with us
You will train and support engineers to get comfortable and efficient with product quality assurance tools, more specifically the different FMEA types. As a consequence you will be guiding the definition of critical technical requirements to be shared with the suppliers and partners.
You will support engineers to approach problem solving during the development phase.

Requirements
Master's degree in Mechanical engineering with minimum 5 years or similar relevant experience in the field of quality assurance
Experience from product development, industrial and manufacturing processes and/or supplier quality management
Passion to do things right for the customer
Knowledge and experience in product quality assurance tools e.g. System/Process/Design-FMEA, APQP, Statistical Process Control
Knowledge and experience in problem solving tools e.g. RCA methods, 8D method, PDCA, Pugh matrix.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Good to have
Experience from automotive industry in manufacturing engineering and/or production quality assurance
Knowledge and practical experience in advanced quality tools and methods e.g. Black Belt 6 Sigma
Knowledge from product development of heavy duty vehicles components, and their technical requirements
