www.crosscontrol.com CrossControl is growing. In the last couple of years we have launched a series of new products that are ramping up fast with new customers in e.g. Germany, US, Italy and China. We are now increasing investments in Product Development and are starting the development of a new product platform aimed at penetrating new market segments.
Job description
Managing Product Development is a key function in the company, you will be at the core of the company's growth engine, working with computing and display technology in the forefront. We have continuously strengthened the organization and we will be investing more in Product Development for the foreseeable future. You will be leading a very talented team with expertise in all disciplines of advanced electronic development and will be part of the Design and Engineering Leadership team. You will report to the Engineering Director and it is preferred that you will be based at our headquarters in Alfta. Location at our other offices in Uppsala or Västerås can be discussed.
The product development department employs around thirty highly skilled engineers across varied disciplines based in Alfta, Uppsala and Tampere and the plan is to add five additional engineers. Team leaders for Product Software, Mechanical and PCBA Design will report to you and you will initially be leading the Electronics Design team.
Leadership, developing and motivating your direct reports, and the whole department, is a key aspect of the role. Driving improvements of the engineering processes, resource planning and managing external resources are other key tasks. You will have the overall technical responsibility for development of the Display, I/O controller and Wireless communication products. You will also support the sales organization and key customers with technical expertise.
Your profile
You have a degree within engineering and good knowledge in Electrical, mechanical or Software design. You have several years of experience from product development in a company with their own production, preferably from the automotive, automation, agriculture, construction or rail industry. Strong leadership and people management skills is highly valued since stakeholder management will be a big part of this role. Apart from fluent Swedish, a high level of English in both speech and writing is a requirement.
