About the job
As a Product Development Engineer in Textiles you are responsible for bringing in all technical aspects into the product development cycle and act as a technical project leader. The PDE is responsible for planning and leading the technical resources in the product development projects and securing all parts of Democratic Design from a technical perspective to secure creative, production-adapted solutions to exceed customer expectations.
• Responsible for the product development projects from a technical perspective throughout the total value chain;
• Developing fabric constructions along all technical aspects: yarn parameters, loom set-up, and weave design specifications;
• Translating aesthetic needs to technical values and executing fabric development briefs based on set parameters;
• Responsible for the administration/organisation of development information;
• Creating technical requirements for verifiable technical solutions based on identified customer needs;
• Responsible for material utilization-related cost calculations.
