Klarna's amazing journey continues and the number of consumers using our services when they shop on-line are increasing rapidly. With a strong growth in numbers of online payments with Klarna there is a strong need for continuously optimizing our products, why we need to expand the Risk & Credit department with a Product Developer.
As Product Developer you will be part of a small and dedicated team with competences that ranges from technical statisticians and business analyst, to newly graduated engineers. Together we are responsible for monitoring credit risks, development of new credit scoring methods, and developing the products to ensure high value offered to our customers. You will play an important role in the current launch of Klarna's consumer credit products on the European e-commerce markets as well as ensuring high quality on the markets where we're already established. Key elements of the role will be quantitative and qualitative analysis, project management, process design, conceptualizing solutions for our business system and credit analysis. There are no normal weeks and you will get the opportunity to see most parts of the business, not only the credit operations. You will work closely with the other scorecard developers, risk analysts, department manager and related departments such as controlling, IT and Sales.
Requirements
A qualified candidate should have an academic degree preferably with quantitative elements, corresponding to training in finance/economics/business or engineering. The candidate have ideally skills and/or experience in project management and has a strong ability to lead her/himself as well as others. Ability to make a complex problem understandable and solvable is a key skill, as well as learning IT and new technical environment fast.
The ideal candidate has up to three years of experience from a management consultancy firm, or with other work experience where project management and analytical abilities are highlighted. Applicants with little or no full time work experience should have extra curricular experiences that vouch that the person is a high achiever and fast learner. Experience from e-commerce, credit products or any entrepreneurial experiences are considered to be a strong merit.
Your are fluent in English and feel comfortable using it as your working language. Knowledge in any other major European language is a plus. You have a very good knowledge in MS Office, especially in Excel.
You are expected to be able to work independently as well as highly collaborative depending on what the situation and project requires. A successful candidate have a good business sense that can serve as guide in prioritizing what is best in a specific situation. You are a structured problem solver with strong analytical skills, and colleagues and friends know you as a committed person with drive and energy
