At the Rotating Tools - Exchangeable Tip Drilling department, we develop and maintain drilling products. We're involved all the way from the identification of customer needs to the actual launch of the products to the market, and we continuously drive projects to make sure that our knowledge, technology and product evolve. To our team in Sandviken, we're currently looking for a Product Developer - Design Tools, to join us on this journey. The location for this position is Sandviken.
Your mission - supporting product development projects to ensure successful outcomes
In this position, you have an overall responsibility for the design and development - from idea to finished product. You're part of a team of six engineers, all working towards the same goal: to make sure that Sandvik Coromant will continue to be a market-leader in the field. Having the responsibility for examining, proposing and maintaining knowledge development, you're building your own expertise while also contributing to the organization's development. In addition to this, your responsibilities include developing knowledge platforms to be used within the organization and ensuring design documentation for high quality products. You also define knowledge needs, initiate activities and drive the development of rule based design and design adaptation to enable efficient design automation.
Your profile - accountable team-player with a proactive and competitive approach
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, and we see great benefits if you have a few years of work experience in product development or design. It 's important that you're an advanced CAD user with good general IT knowledge, and it is good if you're also familiar with FEM and CAM. As we're located in Sweden but are part of a global organization, it's crucial that you have good skills in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
