As product designer for power cables at Ericsson Network Technologies you will design and develop high voltage power cables according to customer specifications and standards in cooperation with the marketing and production department.
Within Segment Energy we often adjust our designs to customer specifications and are involved in interesting development projects in direct cooperation with our customers; for example in the field of wind power and submarine cables. As a technical expert you will participate in our product development project and customer contacts within your field of competence.
The job includes technical calculations, cost calculations, to prepare cable design and control schemes prior to production and registration of technical information in our business systems.
You will have the responsibility that products in a given product area meet the requirements in terms of specifications and standards and for the technical product documentation in this area.
Ericsson Network Technologies is currently implementing the process Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM). We would like you to participate in the development of our design methods and tools within this project and also in your line work.
We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of power systems and a real sense of quality in their work. For the right person there is also potential for a management position in the same function.
Qualification (formal education needed)
A Masters of Science in Power Engineering or Master of Physics is required.
Several years of practical experience within electrical distribution systems in the voltage range above 10kV is also required.
Competence
Fluent written and spoken Swedish and English and a good knowledge of MS Office is needed. Knowledge of CAD (AutoCad, Solidworks) and experience in developing working processes and methods in the product design area are an advantage.
