We are Product Cost Controlling Powertrain within Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT). We are supporting the VOLVO group mission by driving profitability through product cost management excellence, delivering engineered and accurate product calculations to ensure customer success.
Product Cost Controller HD Engine

Then we have a fantastic opportunity for you as the Controlling & Strategy organization is looking for a new colleague to join the Powertrain Product Cost Controlling team in Goteborg.
You will work on advanced project as on start cost until CG or even sometime until SP Start. You will be in charge of managing product cost securing profitability in projects in HD Engine.
Responsibilities*Drive product cost optimization on HD ENGINE BPT/SL2 and control/monitor all activities that affect the BPT/SL2 throughout the complete DVP
• Optimize concept selection from a profitability and product cost perspective. Secure robust concept selection by monitoring activities affecting HD ENGINE BPT/SL2 from early phase
• Monitor HD ENGINE Advanced Engineering and Engineering BPT/SL2 forums to secure participation and right competences to projects in early phases from C&S organization
• Support a strong collaboration with Engineering and Purchasing bringing the product cost management culture into the cross functional work
• Continuously improve Product Cost Controlling/Management processes, tools and skills, develop and maintain the PCC knowledge
You will have the authorities to:*Deliver product cost forecast in project including risks and opportunities
• Deliver profitability analysis for concept selection and maintenance projects

Qualifications*Master of Science or equivalent proven experience
• Preferred experience from Engineering and/or Purchasing
• Preferred experience from product cost management
• Ability to create networks and to lead cross functional activities within multi-cultural teams
• Good English communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Strong problem-solving abilities and synthesizing skills
• Excellent communication, diplomacy and strong project management skills
• Good leadership skills
