Who are we?
We are Product Cost Controlling Powertrain within Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT). We are supporting the VOLVO group mission by driving profitability through product cost management excellence, delivering engineered and accurate product calculations to ensure customer success.

One of Volvo's important measurements in order to secure the company's profitability level is to follow up and forecast the product cost of our vehicles/components. This task is performed by our MCE (Material Cost Evolution) Controllers.
As our PCC, you will work on start cost and maintenance project. You will be in charge of managing product cost securing profitability in projects.

What will you be doing?
In this role you will have the authority to deliver product cost forecast in projects including risks and opportunities. You will also deliver profitability analysis for concept selection and maintenance projects. Additionally you will deliver material cost actual forecast for Actual Reference Vehicle/Product (ARV's). In other words, you will:*Drive product cost optimization and control/monitor all activities that affect Heavy Duty Engine Business Package Team/System Level 2 throughout the complete Project Process.
• Monitor Heavy Duty Engine Advanced Engineering and Engineering Business Package Team/System Level 2 forums to secure participation and right competences to projects in early phases from C&S organization
• Support a strong collaboration with Engineering and Purchasing bringing the product cost management culture into the cross functional work
• Provide monthly reports (current year and 3-year long term) for the part price evolutions on Purchased Material of the decided Actual Reference Vehicle/Product
• Analyze, highlight issues, abnormalities and address corrective actions in the variances of actual price/material cost compared to previous month
• Maintain the BOM's (Bill of Material) on a monthly basis in accordance with technical, feature, regulation and other changes
• Support a strong collaboration with Purchasing controlling
• Support PCC's and Finance Project Manager in product cost variance analysis
• Support Product Cost Roadmap activities
• Provide bridge explanation to GTO on purchased material between 2 Standard Cost of Sales (year N and N+1)
• Continuously improve MCE and Product Cost Controlling/Management processes, tools and skills, develop and maintain the PCC knowledge

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe that you love solving problems and have good leadership skills. You also have an eye for understanding and analyzing great numbers of data and give relevant information. In addition, you love communication and creating networks and leading cross functional activities within diverse teams. Furthermore, you have:*Master of Science or equivalent proven experience
• Preferred experience from Engineering and/or Purchasing
• Preferred experience from product cost management
• Very good knowledge in the principles for vehicle/product structure and the Bill of Material
• Good English communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Strong project management skills
