The section Electrical purchasing, which Comfort Electronics & Switches Purchasing is part of, is responsible for all electrical and electronic components and systems in a car. Navigation systems, electrical propulsion systems, active safety, harness are all part of what we do and key components of any modern car. Currently we are approximately 30 employees in the section, organised in four groups. The group Comfort Electronics & Switches Purchasing is a team with highly motivated persons, 2 in Sweden and 2 in China. We are responsible for all Comfort Electronics & Switches for all Volvo cars, a vital component in all modern cars. From a user perspective Comfort Electronics & Switches is a very important commodities.
As Product Buyer - Comfort Electronics & Switches you will together with the Commodity Buyer develop and implement long term strategies in cooperation with R&D and other parts of the company. In this position you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network both within purchasing as well as in the R&D organisation. You have degrees of freedom to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both commercially as well as in the area of leadership. As a part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on the purchasing strategies.
Main responsibilities
• Secure World Class commercial levels for Volvo Car Group and its customers within the business area of Small Harness, Special Cables and Boxes
• Order handling and running changes management
• Be responsible and take lead for daily operational issues
• Continue to drive the team forward in a positive way
Required qualifications
• Commercial and/or technical university degree or equivalent
• Good ability to handle many issues/projects in parallel
• Good negotiation skills
• Strong administrative skills
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Good daily work organizational skills
• Experience from negotiations in global organisations with focus on commercial targets is an asset

• A great communicator and excellent corporation skills
• Ability to drive and complete tasks independently
• Positive and energetic mindset
• Good cooperation skills
