We are now looking for a Product Buyer to our team within the Powertrain & Chassis Business Segment at Kongsberg Automotive. The position is based at our office in Gothenburg, Sweden and you will report directly to Product Purchasing Manager.
Role description
The position of Product Buyer is a crucial role in Kongsberg Automotive. Your focus is to identify, propose and manage suppliers in accordance with product requirements, purchasing policies and objectives in line with KA strategy and targets. You will be responsible for identifying resourcing cases and for supporting implementation of approved cases in a timely manner. Negotiating with suppliers, supporting logistics in delivery disruptions and handling technical changes from a purchasing viewpoint are also essential.
You will also be the link to the plants for communicating and distributing plant annual purchasing budget and its updates for rolling forecasts.
Some key deliverables, but not limited to:
• identify cost-reduction opportunities in existing production and implement these opportunities
• improve net working capital by increase of payment terms and supply chain optimization
• support supplier quality PPM reduction
• report monthly purchasing results
• participate in Lean and VAVE activities and be Purchasing's member in PIP team
• handle Purchasing administration in ERP, including managing/issuing PO's
• strategic responsibility for local categories.

Candidate profile
We are looking for you with 2-3 years of experience of procurement of direct material. Hopefully, you have a background in the automotive industry and are used to work with people around the world. We believe that you have good knowledge in Microsoft Office and an ERP system, perhaps SAP. Fluent in English, verbal and written, is a requirement.
As a person, you are result driven and enjoy challenges. Your strong communication and negotiation skills make it easy for you to create long lasting relations with both internal colleagues and external suppliers. We see that you have a problem-solving approach with a strong "can do" attitude and follow through on actions taken.
