Product Builds is a global organization providing all Volvo Group Trucks Brands and Business Areas with the prototypes needed for the assessment of new products and technologies.
The Specification Control Team in Gothenburg is composed by 3 very knowledgeable colleagues and has the purpose to define the variant specifications of the prototype trucks, physical and virtual, and to order them from the producing factory. The job start by collecting the project needs, in tight cooperation with all engineering functions, and is followed by the validation of the chosen specification in different systems and forums up until the point when an order can be created.
The Specification Controller is involved in many types of project and the deliveries vary depending on the project phase, you'll support virtual builds for early verification but also tailor-made customers' trucks for field testing.

To succeed in this position you need to be knowledgeable about trucks and what trucks are used for. You should be service minded and have a positive attitude when dealing with our many internal customers. It helps to be curious and interested in learning all the time, our trucks improves and so should you.
Further Requirements
Minimum 5 years work experience in the trucks industry
Good communication skills
Strong interest in developing relationships with stakeholders
Excellent spoken and written English
Swedish language knowledge is considered an advantage
Familiarity with the following IT systems is a merit: CAD, KAP, Sprint, Protom
