hela Sverige As a Product Application Specialist, you will be a key contributor to product development and research projects within the BitTech team. This role involves providing technical support and guidance internally at Nynas and externally to Bitumen customers in the Nordic region. Additionally, you will represent Nynas at industry events, maintain relationships with suppliers and technical organizations, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
About the role
The Product Application Specialist at Nynas is a versatile and independent professional excelling in product development, research initiatives, and technical support. This role plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in bitumen applications and fostering a culture of innovation. This is a self-going position reporting to the BitTech Manager, including regular check-ins, feedback, performance evaluations, and instruction on skill improvement and goal achievement.
In this role you will actively engage in product development and research initiatives focused on bitumen for paving, industrial applications, and specialized products. You have an opportunity to foster an innovative culture by generating creative ideas for new product concepts, bitumen applications, and research initiatives. We are looking for someone to provide technical support and guidance to internal departments and provide support to optimize product quality. You will also act as Nynas' representative in relevant industry and professional associations and conferences and be a technical support to Bitumen customers in the Nordic region, addressing their needs and inquiries.
Other areas of responsibility:
Evaluate and oversee suppliers to maintain quality and consistency.
Foster relationships with universities and technical organizations, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Serve as a point of contact with government authorities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Ensure work is conducted in strict accordance with Nynas Management System (NMS) and complies with ISO standards.
Contribute to quality control and adherence to best practices.
Support the company in meeting legislative requirements and promoting a safe and compliant working environment.
About you
We are looking for someone to continuously enhance technical knowledge within the field, that will stay updated with industry advancements to review technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance. You have a Master's degree in chemistry, civil engineering, or other relevant field and at least three years of working experience in the bitumen or paving industry, or other relevant field.
We see that you will take charge of knowledge transfer within the segment, effectively communicating valuable insights to the staff and assume a leadership role in knowledge transfer to the department, including coaching team members but also engage in laboratory work, contributing to research and testing efforts. Actively participate in Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSE&Q) initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
