Position
The Procurement Specialist at GVA will be a part of the Accounting & Finance team and will report to the A&F Manager. The primary responsibilities will include:
• Performing a full range of procurement and administration activities associated with the purchasing and subcontracting of equipment and material required for the operation of the GVA offices.
• Overseeing and performing the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with procurement and subcontracting for GVA?s business and projects.
• Qualifying suppliers and subcontractors, issuing requests for, and evaluating, quotations and proposals for goods and services
• Responsible for the implementation of KBR Procurement policies at GVA
• Negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers of goods, services and supplies.
• Taking responsibility for purchases of office supplies.
• Maintaining subcontract and purchase order files in accordance with established procedures.
• Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds.
• Maintaining subcontract and purchase order files in accordance with established procedures.
• Participating in the development of procurement and subcontracting strategy
• Providing Leadership in Legislative Compliance ensuring ethical and sustainable procurement.
Profile
The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include:
• The skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and through work experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Subcontracts or Procurement, or closely related areas.
• Competence to manage others in the implementation of Subcontracts / Procurement / Contract requirements.
• Good interpersonal skills and communicates is English and Swedish as a native language or fluently.
• Accepts, owns and supports agreed team objectives and actions.
• Uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business.
• Self starter with a hands-on approach.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Attention to details.
• Acknowledges constructive feedback in a positive manner.
• Marine or Offshore Oil & Gas experience is valuable as well as experience from project organizations.
