Job Description

Vattenfall is undergoing a major transformation. Our purpose to power fossil free living requires all time high efforts in decarbonization, digitalization and decentralization at the same time as running a top performance operation.
We are now looking for two Procurement Project Managers - Tools & Processes to join our team. We are a very diverse team represented in Vattenfall's core markets Sweden, Germany, Netherlands and the UK with a focus on supporting Procurement in its transformation in the broadest sense. We are an open and engaged group with a big network in Procurement and the Business Areas with whom we work closely together on different topics, such as common tools and processes that enable the wider Procurement function to execute their workplans in support of our business needs. The team is part of the Procurement Excellence Unit that reports to the Chief Procurement Officer directly.

The opportunity
In the coming years Vattenfall Procurement will modernize processes and make them more efficient while at the same time working on the harmonization and improvement of our tool landscape. We are improving our IT and Data architecture while at the same time making more data centrally available for different needs, for example to do better analytics and to fulfill a more extensive reporting need. We want to support our Procurement colleagues with better information for their daily work and provide our business partners with the input they need to improve their business results.

Vattenfall Procurement is instrumental in terms of securing cost competitiveness and high performance of our existing operations but also in terms of getting the "outside-in" innovation, technology and capabilities that we need to build Vattenfall's future businesses. Vattenfall Procurement has to become more agile, digital and sustainable. Procurement Excellence is the function that drives this transformation for Vattenfall Procurement.

As our Tools and Process Project Manager your purpose is to ensure that Vattenfall Procurement drives the implementation of new tools and processes to support the continuous drive of efficiency and productivity across the Procurement function aligned to the Business requirements.

Key responsibilities includes:
Initiate a project, define project scope, objectives and draft the project proposal. Formulate and negotiate the Project Initiation Documents, Develop and monitor detailed project plans, Determine budget and required resources
Coordinate, monitor and drive the project, within defined plan and budget and manage project issues and changes and take corrective actions when necessary
Proactively monitor risks that threaten project success and define alternative ways to mitigate these risks
Identify and manage dependencies with other projects
Set up, maintain and report project budgets, proactively provide and report insights to project stakeholders w.r.t. project efficiency, project effectiveness, project status, development, risks and issues
Build and maintain a network of internal and external stakeholders/partners and proactively inform and involve the Steering Committee and other key stakeholders
Evaluate and close project and Identify, analyze and share lessons learned, archive project documents and hand over project where applicable

In the position of Tools and Process Project Manager, you report directly, in a solid line to Head of Procurement Tools and Processes in the Procurement Excellence Unit.

Qualifications
Your experience has brought you a clear understanding of the Procurement function and its responsibilities. And during that time you have built up knowledge and skills for the implementation of new tools and processes. You know how to build up a good network and good relations in that network, leveraging your contacts to achieve growth. You have an innovative mindset and you're looking for new solutions constantly allowing for simplification and speed. You have a positive and constructive mindset and find the opportunities in challenges while finding the creative solutions to overcome them. In the team you contribute to a safe working environment where people can flourish and bring out the best.

To achieve this, we believe you have the following qualifications:
Understanding the business perspective/commercial acumen
Stakeholder management skills
Knowledge in procurement processes and a good track record in S2P processes
Knowledge in procurement technologies (SAP-Ariba, S/4 HANA) is preferable
Prior experience in category/sourcing management is preferable
Relevant Bachelor or Master degree
Extensive (5-10 years) working experience in Procurement project/centre of excellence in a large, international organization
