The Procurement Program Manager will lead and support the procurement function by initiating and setting goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization. Planning the program from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes. Developing or approving budgets and operations. The procurement program manager will also, according to the functional descriptions, process, establish the development and governance models and according to specific directions and guidelines communicated by local manager. The program manager is expected to own and prioritize the procurement team deliveries in the product stream and to make sure that procurement is part of the early phases and has a voice in the decisions.
The aim is to merge a new unit who will have the resources, scale and expertise to develop powertrains. Including R&D, procurement, manufacturing, IT, HR, Strategy & planning and finance functions.
Main responsibilities as Procurement Program Manager:
• Manage the Procurement backlog to ensure Product stream flow of deliveries
• Strive to push decisions as much as possible towards the category teams and minimize the involvement of the solution level
• The long-term strategy of the solution, act as a messenger of the strategy and the gate keeper of the roadmap
• Enable that Procurement gets the right prerequisites from its stakeholders
• Work with stakeholders, customers and other Solution Trains to understand needs and prioritize Capabilities Enablers
• Drive cost down activities as well as to ensure cost competitiveness in the stream.
• Make authoritative recommendations about technical or professional solutions that would significantly improve business performance.
• Develop strategic solutions to long-term business needs by anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities.
• Develop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.
• Build complex frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs.

About the position
The assignment is a concultancy position with employment at Adecco. Start is as soon as possible and the assignment will initially last until June 2021.
