An opportunity exists within the Global Engineering & Facilities Managament Procurement Team as a Procurement Manager in the FM Hard Services category, focusing on spend in Sweden. The position will be located in Södertälje.
The Arena
FM Hard Services covers many sub categories in Equipment, Building & Infrastructure Maintenance and in Sweden has a total spend of $40m (300mSEK) spread across more than 1000 suppliers. The AstraZeneca FM Organisation has a significant savings challenge to meet over the next 5 years and so this role will involve working with FM and Operations teams to identify where the opportunities are within the external supply base to support this challenge.
The role
The key areas of focus for this role are:
Work with the category leaders and key customers to ensure successful implementation of strategic sourcing decisions.
Within area of spend, take full accountability for successful implementation of contracts and ongoing contract and relationship management.
Develop and implement strategy for reducing the number of suppliers considerably.
Minimum experience
The role holder must hold a degree qualification in a relevant subject or an equivalent professional qualification. The role holder is a business leader with a good commercial background (ideally with Procurement experience, buying services), keen to engage with internal customers, peer groups and suppliers to deliver effective category management. Fluently spoken and written Swedish and English is necessary.
Prefered experience/requirements
While there will be no Line Management requirement initially, the role holder will need the ability to coach and mentor other members of the team based in Sweden and act as an effective leader of the team. The role will report to the Global Category Manager for Hard Services based in UK.
