Dynamics, a business area of Saab, offers ground combat weapons, missile systems, torpedoes, sensor systems, unmanned underwater vehicles and signature management systems for armed forces as well as remotely operated vehicles and security systems for the offshore industry and nuclear power plants.
Dynamics procurement organisation now seeks a highly qualified Procurement Hub Manager to be locally based in India. New Delhi or Hyderabad - City location to be finally settled
Your future challenge
As you are an ambassador for Dynamics in the country and responsible for sourcing activities in ongoing campaign/s and our long term procurement strategy in the country.
A position of this seniority requires a flexible approach to work and travel. This position requires a high degree of professionalism and social skills allied to international experience. Strategic and problem solving thinking are essential personal attributes. Working with and being part of a team and close interaction with the local Saab organisations as well as Dynamics home office organisation is also essential requirements for this position.
The position as local Procurement Hub Manager will normally be an expatriate assignment limited in time and initially we are looking for a 6 months assignment.
Briefly, your work includes:
• Manage the ongoing sourcing activities mainly relating to ongoing business campaigns
• Identify future sourcing opportunities and support Dynamics in developing procurement plans
• Develop and maintain high level vendor network in the country.
• Liaising and working with the local Saab offices to ensure an unified Saab approach to Indian market
Today's demands
To be suitable for this position, we think you have:
• Proven skills in procurement with analytic ability
• Experience of Dynamics organization, business and products with a broad internal network
• Good social skills and open and communicative personality, comfortable in high level international contacts
• Fluent in English
• Preferably experience in local culture and business environment
We expect you to be a good team player with an open attitude, socially competence, keeping an overall comprehensive view and having the ability to acquire other cultures' approaches and values.
