Position Summary
The incumbent will work with the Regional Procurement Director -UK/EMEA and VP Corporate Procurement. You will manage interaction and the day to day Procurement operational relationship with all EMEA Divisions in a SunGard designated Group of countries and as our programs progress, increasingly throughout EMEA. You will be responsible for understanding and facilitating with your procurement colleagues; and to vendors as required; existing strategic procurement needs from SunGard stakeholders; as well as the terms and conditions, local policies and procedures that are relevant to our deliverables.
Working with local resources and the various EMEA stakeholders, you will prioritize with the Business and manage the key Procurement requirements, and where possible ensure that local requisition processing is effectively carried out. Additionally, you will be responsible for making recommendations for additional cost reduction opportunities by utilizing all purchasing levers such as rate, demand management, compliance management and where applicable engineering and specification changes.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Identify strategic procurement business needs within SunGard the designated Group of countries and increasingly across EMEA, and liaise whenever possible with stakeholders to support their Procurement related activities, needs or Projects
• Identify, prioritize and manage procurement activities
• Manages Demand/ Compliance control and escalates non-compliance issues; investigate and approve different requirements through internal system
• Implements and monitors performance of category objectives/strategies
• Takes ownership of implementing the sourcing process with operational teams
• Facilitates communication of team objectives and plans with key stakeholders
• Supports the implementation of supplier performance metrics
• Oversees financial accounting for designated categories for reporting purposes.
Job Experience/Skills and Competencies/Knowledge
• Incumbents at this level must be fast learners to quickly progress to a level of competency where they can perform their functions with considerable independence and judgment
• Leadership and influence are exercised through participation in cross-functional working groups
• Requires a working knowledge of procurement purchase-to-pay processing, category management, business and supply line management practices, theories, principles and disciplines
• Excellent written and verbal communications across internal and external resources
• Demonstrated track record of high motivation and self-initiative through goals achievement
• Organizational awareness, attention to detail and team oriented
• Results-oriented approach to work
• BS Degree or equivalent work-related experience
• 3 - 5 years previous Procurement experience
• Fluent English and Swedish language are strongly required
• Demonstrated ability to manage small projects
• Broad Category knowledge
