The Role
Manufacturing Engineer and Geometry Geometry Assurance & Analyse (GAA) at Commodity Upper Body Commodity is a group within the section Body Manufacturing Engineering. The section develops and implements quality assured flexible and effective production systems in the Body in White plants.
As Manufacturing Engineer & GAA you are responsible to ensure product and process feedback to R&D and manufacturing in order to fulfil production attributes: quality, man hours, cost efficiency, environment, flexibility, and change over.
Work content
• Finalizing Commodity deliveries against industrial engineering, geometry and manufacturing on our new XC90 (V526) such as PKI, drive solutions on VQDC, "close and freeze" geometry system, finalize P-FMEA etc.
• Preparation and adaptation of currently installed V526 in system and process for the introduction of 54X in existing V526 lines, integration of Equipment and Tool on Upper Body V54X.
• Plan, request virtual and physical verification in order to secure manufacturing requirements
• Deliver instructions for VP, MTO, TT, PP build and J1 on 54X
• Identify needs of "Poka Yoka" for quality assurance
• Initiate and perform P-FMEA
• Continuously strive for commonality between V526 and V54X system solutions.
• Contribute in Upper Body team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required qualifications
• Several years of working with Body development and Body geometry adapting to robot and manual processes from a manufacturing perspective against R&D and Manufacturing BiW.
• Good skills and experience working in VCC Team Center, Process Designer, CM4D.
• Knowledge of VCC BiW PKI regulations, Manufacturing Requirements.
• MS Office and SharePoint
