Surface Chemistry is a global business unit, operating in 50 countries and employing 1500 people. The global headquarters is located in Chicago, USA, and regional marketing centres are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey, (USA), Singapore, and Stenungsund (Sweden).
One of Surface Chemistry's three factories in the EMIEA region is located in Stockvik.
The Surface Chemistry business makes surface-active agents (surfactants) used in a huge range of both industrial and consumer products, for example cleaning goods, oil-field applications, printing, paints, fabric softeners, asphalt, mining, and electronics. At the site in Stockvik we see an increasing demand for the products and the site is of strategic importance for Surface Chemistry.
About the position:
We are now looking for a Process Engineer to our Site in Stockvik. As our Process Engineer you will work close with the production to develop and implement process improvements in line with business priorities. You will act as process engineer and as product engineer for the Sites product portfolio and will also act as hazard study leader in new and existing processes.
Main responsibilities:
• Lead projects in the Site and Product introduction process
• Lead study and evaluation phases of new ideas
• Lead Continuous Improvements projects related to our products
• Support production in solving escalated production gaps
• Structurally eliminate technology and material losses
• Benchmark performance with similar units at other sites
• Collect, document and make available process know-how
• Provide calculation models for calculating impact of defined process variations
• Technical education at university, preferably Chemical Engineering
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• Relevant knowledge within the area of HSE
• 5-10 years of experience within the process industry
• Deep experience in Lean6Sigma
• Deep knowledge in the area of asset integrity/process safety
• As a person you are proactive, service-oriented and flexible. You have good analytical skills and you are easy to work with others. To be successful in this position, you need to have the ability to engage and coach others in order to drive development of safety on site
