To make that happen we need the best and we are now looking for Process Utility Lead Engineer/ Process Utility Engineer , to join our fantastic team!

About the role
In this position you will play key project-integrator role in our multidisciplinary Facility Engineering Organization in building the new Gigafactory. As Process Utility Lead Engineer, you will pro-actively support and assist the Mechanical Engineering Manager along the way and contribute on successful delivery of the assigned mechanical design packages. You will have full ownership over portions of the process design development with responsibilities to collect, review, register, distribute and manage wide variety of design documents. You will make sure that all project members are well connected and informed, by developing close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your Background
We believe that you have a very good knowledge and experience of Process Utility Engineering execution process from design review to installation and commissioning especially in at least two of the following fields:
- Wastewater treatment plant or treatment systems
- Process utility systems such as compress air, Nitrogen generation system, DI water generation, slurry mixing etcetera
- Solvent recovery and refinery systems
As a person you are adaptable, open-minded and can work in a fast-paced project. You understand complexity of the project and you are well organized in order effectively implement, manage, and track multiple parallel workstreams associated to process engineering. You are brilliant at communicating with wide range of stakeholders - both internal and external.
With assistance of the Mechanical engineering manager, you will:
- Lead the development of process description of utilities production and distribution units, utilities and power requirements, heat and material balances, operating manuals
- Elaboration of Utilities Flow Diagrams (UFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Equipment Process Data Sheets, Instrument Data Sheets, Interlock Description, Cause and Effect Diagrams
- Help the other design disciplines providing and anticipating cross functional data that allows a fluid execution of the overall plant design
- Assist the Facility team with system completion requirements for the proper transfer of responsibilities from the installation phase to operations
- Become a binder of the EPCM team, supporting on developing the organization accordingly to Company mission and supporting hand in hand team members
- Supporting the procurement team with reviewing the technical specifications and quotations
Essential
- Minimum BSc degree within Chemical engineering or equivalent and at least 5-7 years of experience in Process Engineering, with focus on the process utilities, preferably on comparable construction position
- Excellent written and spoken English
Desirable
- Experience from Greenfield Projects is highly preferred, experience from battery manufacturing industries is a plus
- Experience within general contractor or EPC organization environment is an added value
- Knowledge of Swedish rules/regulation for Utility systems is a plus
- Swedish is a plus
