Across our three facilities in Keele (UK), Södertälje (Sweden) and Matfors (Sweden) we deliver quality commercial, clinical, and pre-clinical products. Cobra's services include; cell line development, analytical and process development, cGMP production, fill/finish and lyophilisation of recombinant proteins, antibodies, DNA, viruses and whole cell products. All our programs meet cGMP standards with full regulatory support.
We are currently looking to recruit a Purification Process technician/engineer, reporting to Analytical and Purification Service Delivery Manager. This role is a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the cell culture, purification and analytical teams, project managers as well as with other functions within the organization.
The main duties will include:
• Purification processing of recombinant proteins in lab and pilot scale (GMP):
Chromatography and filtration equipment preparation
Delivery of supply campaigns at different scales
Cleaning of process equipment
• Conduct GMP related tasks such as:
Change control, deviations and investigations
Perform equipment qualification tests
Draft and update SOPs, URSs etc
• Technical trouble-shooting
• Raw material handling
• Maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Purchase of services, goods and equipment
• Standard process analysis
• Documentation of activities
Qualifications:
• Education in engineering, biotechnology or similar or several years of hands on experience in relevant area as a technician or senior operator
• Previous experience in chromatographic and filtration techniques
• Proven experience of GMP procedures
• Experience of hands on work with supply campaigns, preferably in biotech field
• English and Swedish language skills
The individual will be expected to interact at all levels of the organisation and should be able to demonstrate accuracy, responsibility and good communication skills. The position will be based at the Södertälje site.
