hela Sverige Do you have senior experience of direct reduction processes in an industrial scale and want to work with the development of fossil-free steelmaking? We are currently looking for a Process Specialist Direct Reduction to HYBRIT Development.
In 2016, SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall joined forces to create HYBRIT - an initiative that endeavours to revolutionize steelmaking. HYBRIT aims to replace coking coal, traditionally needed for ore-based steelmaking, with hydrogen. The result will be the world's first fossil-free steelmaking technology, with virtually no carbon footprint. Read more at

As Process Specialist Direct Reduction you will take a central role in the development of a hydrogen based Direct Reduction technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and execute process engineering and optimization activities and projects
• Contribute actively to the process development with your experience and skills in metallurgical processes, modelling, process optimization and process control.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and partners.
• Share and document results and know-how, identify future needs and participate in planning engineering and development activities.
• Leverage your senior background to participate in the development team.
Qualifications
• Senior experience (+5 years) with metallurgical process development and engineering.
• Solid competence and skills regarding process modelling, optimization, control, modification design.
• Industrial experience in metals, alternatively mining & minerals sector.
• Experience with design, commissioning, operation with direct reduction plants advantageous
• MSc in chemistry, metallurgy
• Excellent writing and communication in English
Location
The position will be based in either Luleå or Stockholm, Sweden.
