ArbetsuppgifterWe are looking for a skilled engineer in software development for FEM and CFD simulation considering modeling of physics processes. In this role you will program physical phenomena to simulate welding and additive processes. Since the commercial software available today can't simulate our jet engine components, because they are too large or too complex, you will need to both identify the physical algorithm and also program it. The tasks might combine CFD (aerodynamic) and FEM (solid mechanics) or pure mathematical algorithms. The real key is programming skills combined with the ability to understand physical phenomena. The target is to decrease the development time for new components, like additive manufactured LPT- and HPC-cases for example.
ProfilWe are now looking for you who meet the following requirements:
• MSc or PhD in physics, mathematics, solid mechanics or aerodynamics
• A few years experience of software development and application programming for advanced manufacturing processes
• A few years experience of programming in C/C++, Matlab, Python
It's a big plus if you also have experience of:
• FEM applications like ANSYS and MARC
• CFD applications like CFX
• Programming in FORTRAN
• GPU programming
