Responsibilities
We have an immediate opening for someone who can fulfil the following key role as a Process Safety Coordinator within Site Bohus HSE department.
The Process Safety Coordinator is a support function for process safety work at the site. The responsibility of the position is to ensure that we live up to the company's requirements within process safety and asset integrity. The Process Safety Coordinator will also be responsible to develop routines and establish standards.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
• Coordinate Process Safety activities for the site.
• Develop and deliver training in process safety issues, hazard identification, risk assessment techniques, process safety in design and safe operating practices, to line managers, plant responsible engineers and key operating personnel.
• To be updated on work legislation and interpret laws, regulations and agreements on working activities.
• Establish standards for process equipment, analyse process safety incidents and near misses, and develop recommendations to improve performance.
• Support line managers with the investigation, reporting and follow-up action of process safety incidents, employing root cause analysis tools and carry out risk assessments.
• Inform and train the line organization in the introduction of new or modified process technology.
• Develop management systems for the Maintenance department and projects.
Candidate profile
B.Sc. in Chemical engineering or other technical or scientific academic education with expertise in chemistry or process engineering. Strong knowledge of recognized engineering practices and safety related government and industry standards (e.g. OSHA, Seveso). Experience of troubleshooting process safety issues.
Knowledge of key process hazards and safety features of chemical plants.Extensive operating experience at a plant facility. Experience from management systems. Fluent in Swedish and English (both written and spoken) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
