Would you like to be part of defining and driving the development of the future autonomous transport solutions for the Volvo Group? Are you a passionate engineer who loves to drive the development of new ways of working and to work with cross-functional partners, customers and colleagues around the world? Do you enjoy teamwork and developing yourself and others to meet future challenges? Then take the opportunity to join the exciting journey we are sailing on when creating the future autonomous solutions for our customers as well as building a sustainable working environment characterized by trust, openness and wellbeing.

This is us, your new colleagues:

This is a role within the Process, Certification and Documentation (PCD) team. The mission of the PCD team is to build the common foundation for Processes, Certification and Documentation that comply with laws and regulations through:
Leading the development, documentation and maintenance of common ways of working
Securing quality-assured end-to-end product documentation
Driving a culture focused on collaboration, quality, environment, health and safety

The purpose of the Process Management and Development role is to lead and coach the line organization in the development, evaluation and improvement of ways of working.
The cornerstones for our team are teamwork and engagement, having fun together and supporting each other in our daily work. In our team, we value the strength given by differences in background, knowledge, age, gender, and nationality.
We are currently a team of 7 passionate engineers and we are now looking for a great colleague for the Process Management and Development role to join our team.

This is what you will do

You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the whole Volvo Autonomous Solutions organization as well as with relevant stakeholders within other parts of the Volvo Group. As we are a start-up inside the Volvo Group, we desire a hands-on, creative, "roll up your sleeves" individual that will help us build our company. You will work throughout the whole process lifecycle: from the strategic level where you will be part of defining the business process strategy and process roadmap to leading working groups in analyzing, defining, developing, documenting and continuously improving the business processes. An important part of your responsibility is to prioritize between competing needs and to seek interface agreements with related business processes as well as to prepare decision material and lead the work with the decision forum Process Advisory Group and business process working groups.

Who are you? Are we a perfect match?

We believe you are a person with great people skills, who enjoys developing teams and yourself as well as interacting with different stakeholders. You have a positive mind-set and can-do attitude, with a holistic perspective and good communication skills. Since an important part of this position is to establish and maintain a close collaboration with different stakeholders across the whole organization, it is important to understand stakeholders' needs, expressed and unexpressed, and to cooperate within and across teams with contradicting priorities and different goals to create value. As a person, you are a solution-oriented team player with ability to put the interests of others above your own, ready to do what is needed to make the team and the organization more efficient. You are also a person that learns fast and has strong analytical skills, i.e. use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
You will cover a wide span of processes, from very detailed in one specific technology area to processes involving also other Business Areas in the Volvo Group, which requires that you can understand new contexts, products, and solutions quickly and efficiently while being able to prioritize with a structured approach. You are also open to work in a completely new context where we together are the motivators to make the future of automated transport solutions happen. As our business area is new you need to share our positive spirit and curiosity for new technology and want to take it to the next level.

Other important qualifications for the position:
Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience from managing large projects or end to end processes with limited oversight from manager
Experience from business process development methodologies and process development work
Experience from coaching individuals and teams
Experience from work with Quality Management
Knowledge about business process development methods and tools
Knowledge and experience in Change Management
Knowledge of vehicle technology
Fluency in spoken and written English

What can we offer?

You get an opportunity to work together with highly skilled and supportive colleagues in an exciting, global environment that provides opportunities to develop both professionally and personally. Our daily work is performed in an international environment allowing interaction with highly committed colleagues from different cultures. We trust each other and act as a team, stay close to the product and provide opportunities for professional and personal growth. This is where you fit right in!

We look forward to receiving your application!
