An important business development focus is to create value from our secondary products and in connection with that build for the future, which includes developing, building, and deploying new industries. One of several important projects right now is the ReeMAP project www.ree-map.com which extracts apatite from waste materials and produces mineral fertilizers, critical minerals such as rare earth elements and gypsum for the construction industry.
Within the ReeMAP project, we now need to complement our innovative and creative team with a Process Engineer specialized in hydrometallurgy and solvent extraction. The main task is to ensure that the establishment of operations within the hydrometallurgical process meets the targets within product quality, efficiency, and external environment. The assignment also involves daily process technical support in the project as well as an overall responsibility for the testing activities linked to the continuous work with product and process technical development within the hydrometallurgical area.
The project group is based in Luleå https://youtu.be/yW_ZvCcLGgE which is the optimal location, although alternative locations may be considered.

A typical working day as a process engineer may include:
To lead and review process engineering work with regards to hydrometallurgical processes.
To initiate and be responsible for meetings/investigations or trials/tests needed for quality reasons within the Hydrometallurgical process.
Reporting of deviations in terms of test results and product quality.
Quality development and other quality issues regarding the process and represent Hydro in these issues externally and internally.
Work with process optimization and follow-up.
Ensure that plans for product installations/exchanges are developed.
Bring up training material regarding the Hydrometallurgical process as well as necessary internal information regarding the Hydrometallurgical process and process changes.

Your Qualifications:
We believe that a successful candidate holds a university degree with a relevant focus containing hydrometallurgy combined with senior experience such as project manager or project engineer in several projects and have designed process solutions including solvent extraction (SX). Previous experience in process modelling, commissioning and production is highly meritorious.
Since the work involves many contacts both internally and externally, it is important that you as a person thrive in a central role where you collaborate and relate to other people in a responsive and flexible way, and where your ability to lead, motivate and delegate comes in handy. You have a good communicative ability in various situations and master English both spoken and written. The position involves a lot of independence, initiative, and courage to make decisions based on one's own judgment and given circumstances and act on these, sometimes despite limited information or aggravating circumstances. A systematic and independent way of working is a prerequisite, in addition to that, new approaches and ideas are also required on daily basis as well as high accuracy and quality thinking.
The position requires a B driving license as travels occurs on regular basis.
