We are looking for a Process Engineer to join the technical team that supports the company's various projects and installations throughout their lifecycle - from feasibility and design to operations, maintenance, and asset management. The technology team ensures process efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Currently, the team is focused on driving and supporting the Boden project, which is in an exciting phase transitioning from basic to detailed engineering. You will play a key role in contributing to the design, development, and implementation of hot mill processes while collaborating with various teams to ensure functionality, reliability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct reviews, verifications, and provide technical support for equipment suppliers' engineering solutions, focusing on safety, process, installation, and product quality.
Lead and/or participate in work groups to solve cross-functional design challenges.
Provide expert support during construction, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
Design and implement maintenance strategies for installations.
Lead and/or participate in improvement projects after commissioning.
Support the operations team in developing SOPs and best practices.
Participate in integration testing and lead process models and their interfaces.
Qualifications
Engineering degree (minimum BEng/BSc) in a relevant discipline, preferably in Metallurgy or Process Engineering.
Strong experience in hot rolling processes within the steel industry.
7+ years of experience as a process engineer or 5+ years in steel plant-specific engineering.
Experience working during the construction and commissioning phases of large-scale industrial projects in the steel industry.
Experience managing EPCM contractors and understanding engineering design processes and contractual obligations.
Strong problem-solving skills, solution-focused, and creative thinking.
Self-driven, positive, and proactive with the ability to take initiative, drive topics, and collaborate with colleagues and external resources.
