We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our new biologics manufacturing plant at Gärtuna, Södertälje. The purpose-built facility will fill and pack the next generation of clinical and commercial biological drugs from the AstraZeneca pipeline; supporting the acceleration of the biologics portfolio.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of the Process Engineer role is to provide formulation and aseptic filling process engineering expertise for the manufacturing of clinical and commercial products to Sweden Biologics. This includes providing technical support that includes
* Investigation and correction of process-related problems and deviations.
* Being responsible for identifying and executing projects to improve quality, yield, material usage and cost effectiveness.
* Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for multiple processing operations, providing technical leadership within the team.
* Design, execution, and evaluation of experimental plans to ascertain the required process capabilities, specifications, and robustness
The Process Engineer works closely and collaborates within cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Automation, Supply Chain and Quality.
Essential Requirements
* To have a minimum of science or engineering degree.
* Experience of formulation and filling processes and technology, standards and quality requirements
* Substantial knowledge of cGMP for manufacturing.
* Good knowledge of production equipment, facilities, engineering and instrumentation.
* Good Project Management, collaboration and communication skills.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience of start-up is desirable
* Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ and Lean Manufacturing.
* Experience with cGMP for sterile processes
* Extensive experience of formulation and filling processes and technology, standards and quality requirements
