hela Sverige FPC is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packages, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices. Our R&D organization is growing to meet the demands from our customers and to expand the usage of our sensor products. We are now looking for a Process Engineer.
The Role
You will be a part of the R&D Microelectronic Packaging group, which consists of packaging development, coating development and qualification/reliability testing.
Your role will be to drive parts of technical development projects and evaluate different materials, processes and vendors, including lab testing if needed. This work will include planning, presentations, reporting and documentation. You will also coordinate and communicate with glass and ceramic suppliers. The role requires close collaboration with other team members and you support the process development for new packaging concepts including ceramics and coatings.
This position requires international travelling in order to visit our suppliers and business partners, mainly in Asia.
The work location is Gothenburg.
Your Background
• Material science, Physics, Chemistry or Microelectronic Masters degree or equivalent
• Min. 3-5 years of work experience in the field of glass / ceramic processing, for example handling, shaping, dicing and coating
• Knowledge of semiconductor packaging
• Industrial process experience in semiconductor industry, assembly processes
• Practical work in glass and ceramic testing is a plus
• Experience in CAD design is a plus
• Fluent in English in speaking and writing
• Knowledge in Chinese or other Asian language is a plus
