hela Sverige Sege outside Malmö is one of the largest plants in the Nordics for the development, manufacture and sales of paint, lacquer, resin and putty with over 53 million liters manufactured there in 2018. We are 600 employees based at the site who, daily, do everything to meet our customers' needs for high quality products and services. The organization at the site is run by two different companies - Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings, where the focus is on paint, varnish and stain systems for the product-targeting wood and metal industries and Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings, whose products are sold under the leading brands Nordsjö, Vuosaari, Sadolin, Hammerite and Cuprinol to consumers and painters.
The Resin Plant Production department in Malmö is in an interesting and developing phase and we are now looking for a new Process Engineer to join our fantastic team of fifteen. We are in an exciting phase where new structures and continuous improvement is part of strengthens and contribute to the organizational growths.
What you will do?
As a Process Engineer you will plan, develop and lead long-term work in methodology, quality and process optimizations at the resin plant. The work also includes participating in investment applications and implementation, as well as helping alternatively managing projects within the plant, making HAZOPs and working with continuous improvements. It is important that you share your knowledge through training and collaborations with production personnel.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
To improve existing processes, optimize recipes and batches, and develop the methodology for existing and new resins
To write process instructions, define existing equipment and document your work carefully
You work with people from both Production, Engineering & Maintenance, HSE, RD & I and Quality
This is a fulltime permanent position. You will report to Production Manager Resin and will be based in Malmö.
Who you are?
To be successful as Process Engineer you have at least 3 years relevant job experience within preferable chemical process industry. You have experience from or have participated in HAZOP studies. You have a Master in SC Chemistry or similar. You have good knowledge in MS Office and basic knowledge in PHA-Pro. We use ABB x800 as our Distributed Control System. You are fluent in both in Swedish and English, verbal as well as in writing.
As a person you are you are proactive, able to work in a fast-paced matrix organization, multitasking, easily connect with people of various cultures and background. You have a passion for continuous improvement and to optimize the organization and you like to work in a cross functional environment with a humble personality. You are good at networking and to contribute to an international network.
