The role of the Process Engineer will be process design of a concentrator plant and for complete concentrator plants. The work will be related to both the proposals phase and execution phase of a project.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be involved in the process design work of a concentrator plant and be able to work in several
• projects simultaneously, including preparation of process flow sheets, mass balances, metallurgical balances, basic P&ID's, process descriptions, etc.
• Understands requirements of a concentrator plant design from an operations and process engineering aspect.
• Works effectively towards well defined mile-stones for completion of various sections and disciplines as per specific project needs.
• Follows a project from initial process design stage throughout the project execution and commissioning of the plant.
• Manages design changes throughout the project execution, keeping the Project Manager and Snr Plant Design Engineer informed about changes that can affect the Project budget, other disciplines and areas of the plant.
• Reviews and understand results from laboratory- and pilot- tests.
• Reviews and understands customer's / enquiry documents /contracts requirements in terms of design specifications.
• Attends meetings as per contract requirements and other internal/external meetings required to support the sales process and later the project if successfully captured.
• Support the sales process and later the project for a successful sales, execution and maintain an ethical, proficient and co-operative approach with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as requested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Good knowledge in the English technical language, fluent in reading/writing and speech.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills are required, as this person will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office Products and Lotus Notes.
• Must be able to effectively discuss, explain and coordinate process designs with other disciplines crossfunctionally.
• Must be able to function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted with minimal supervision
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines. . Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Requires domestic and international travel. Must have valid passport.
• Be prepared to relocate during limited periods of time (requirement can be discussed).
