hela Sverige Powertrain Engineering is the Strategic Centre for powertrain issues in the Volvo Group. The scope covers complete powertrain systems, components such as engines, transmissions and driven axles, including development, manufacturing, sourcing, partnership, installation service and support in close co-operation with the customers.
This position belongs to department 91634, Facility operation & Storage, Product Development Laboratory, at PD (Product Development) Powertrain Engineering, located in Gothenburg. The group is responsible for all maintenance at the Laboratory.
Job Description:
Group 91634, Facility operation & Storage are now looking for a Process Engineer. Main responsibility is to minimize acute maintenance activities on test cells, facility systems and equipment in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Your working areas will be a number of technical systems with the emphasis on production dependability. You will technically support daily operations in order to reduce and minimize production stops and losses within the laboratory support systems.
Technical examples of systems within the laboratory environment are PLC and Scada systems, Engine test cell equipment, Ventilation and cooling systems.
Group 91634 have the main responsibility for the laboratories energy saving program and this position will contribute to fulfill this requirement.
Project work is common with other departments, both in the laboratory organization in Gothenburg and with our colleagues around the world.
Knowledge of project management will be an advantage; close working with other laboratory groups both local and global forms a part of your daily activities.
The department consists of 20 persons in the areas technic, IT and mechanics.
Qualifications:
We think you are high school engineer within some of the areas Mechanics, Electronics or Electric power. University degree in same area is positive
You have at least 3 years working experience with in your profession
Your personal qualifications:
You are technically skilled, have both ability to drive issues by your own and are a good team member. Good communicator, analytical and strategically in your mind set, and has a positive attitude.
Future challenges:
Ongoing continuous improvements with current IT maintenance systems and intensive cooperative work with our main maintenance supplier is just some of the issues that will be focus areas in the coming period. You will be involved in future Laboratory investments and modifications in process and support media functions.
