Problem Analyst for electrical areas within Active safety, Chassis and Supplemental Restraint Systems

At Active Safety Department, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.

Our group Active Safety and Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS), Analysis and Verification, is a part of Volvo Car Groups Active Safety department, at the Electrical and Electronics Unit within Research and Development that drives the development of the Volvo core value - Safety. We are responsible for Software and system testing and Quality Analysation. We have two Problem Analysts in our group who are working as members in the Current Model Quality team with quality assurance within function areas in Active Safety, SRS and Vehicle dynamics. We are now searching for one more Problem Analyst that will work together with our two Problem Analysts and Current Model Quality team.

Main responsibilities

* Identify and prioritize quality issues through structured data collection and vehicle analysis
* Proactively analyse product problems and be part of the root cause analyse
* Prepare data for decision of field service actions
* Main focus is to actively lead and act in the phases; Define, Measure, Analyse
* Work with quality assurance within function areas in active safety, SRS and vehicle dynamics

Required qualifications

* At least three years' experience from automotive or equivalent
* University degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics or Physics
* Good knowledge of quality analysis methods/tools
* Good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Green Belt Certified
* B-driving license
* Good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and applicable tools, such as DSA, CANoe CANalyzer and CANApe is meritorious
* Well versed in Volvo Cars product development & Running Change Processes is meritorious

* Good communication skills
* Good in documentation and reporting
* The ability to cooperate and work within a team
