The Role
Energy Storage Systems Component Verification is a new group within the Electromobility Test & Verification organization, with the responsibility of providing data to Product Owners within the ESS design organization. We are looking for a Principal Verification Engineer with a passion for ESS Component Verification (ECV).
You will be managing the verification WoW and data production for all components within Volvo Group Energy Storage Systems. This includes cell-, module- and BMS components.
Major responsibilities:
Lead and develop verification WoW, in collaboration with stakeholder groups.
Set up cross functional routines and processes, in all areas of the Verification Product Ownership of ECV. Areas included, but not limited to:
• Cell testing - calendar/lifecycle testing, parameter testing, EIS, thermal testing etc.
• Module testing including environmental testing, thermal management verification and tear down
• BMS component testing, primarily environmental testing
Manage deliveries across entire lifecycle of development with active participation in feasibility and early concept investigations.
Establish the standard for development and product verification.
Active engagement in the long-term development of the ESS Component verification strategy, platform and roadmap.
To succeed in this role...
A strong collaboration with stakeholder groups is required and needs to be built up, as the organization is new. Hence the candidate should have extensive experience in automotive verification preferably 10+ years of experience within the industry along with excellent communication skills. A strong leadership background within the same area would be appreciated. Coaching and development of fellow team members is an important part of the role, therefore a successful experience in this area shall be shown. Documented ability to handle multiple strategic partners and external suppliers shall be shown.
