• Oversees and delivers challenging and major assignments
• Establishes contacts at senior level (e.g. Technical Director), works with customers at a strategic level and coaches them
• Consults business and proposes engineering solutions to meet customer needs
• Supports business development in sales activities by negotiating contracts and leading sales activities with multiple local units to win major consulting assignments from 500 to 2500 hours
• Creates work plans and cost estimates in one's area of responsibility
• Establishes a risk management strategy for consulting assignments and ensures actions are taken to mitigate and control risks
• Forms and leads teams to deliver assignments with a focus on operational execution
• Master's degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems or similar, is required.
• A minimum of ten years' experience in the design, understanding and performance of power systems studies
• Strong knowledge in power systems analysis, as well as experience in software simulation tools such as PSS/E (power systems), EMTP (electronic systems), and/or DigSilent Power Factory
• Analytical mindset and self-going, takes initiatives to solve problems
• Good level of English and Spanish is required. French will be appreciated.
The Principal Technical Consultant acts as a lead for consulting assignments of high complexity. He / She contributes to the development of consultancy products and services and also participates in the creation of consulting business strategy.
