hela Sverige The Principal Technical Consultant acts as a lead for consulting assignments of high complexity within the Power Consulting unit. In this role, you'll be part of a global team of technical consultants, in which you will get opportunities to contribute to the development of consultancy products and services and also participate in the creation of consulting business strategy.
In this exciting new consultant role, you will get the opportunity to lead the alignment and development of consultancy products and services to meet customers' needs. You will oversee and deliver major, often challenging assignments and be able to establish contacts at senior levels (e.g. with the Technical Director). In addition, you will work with customers at a strategic level and coach them, consult the business on, and propose, consulting solutions to meet and exceed your customers' expectations.
As the Principal Technical Consultant, you support business development in sales activities by negotiating contracts and leading sales activities with multiple local units, in order to win major consulting assignments ranging from 500 to 2500 hours in size. The job includes creating work plans and cost estimates, establishing a risk management strategy for consulting assignments, and also ensuring that the right actions are taken to mitigate and control risks. You will also form and lead teams to deliver assignments with a focus on operational execution.
The successful candidate has a Master's degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems or similar. We also see that you have a minimum of ten years' experience in the design, understanding and performance of power systems studies. You have strong knowledge in power systems analysis, as well as experience in software simulation tools such as PSS/E (power systems), EMTP (electronic systems), and/or DigSilent Power Factory.
As a person, you have an analytical mindset and you are independent, self-going, and take your own initiatives to solve problems. You have a proven experience in creating opportunities in the markets (orders capture). You have excellent influencing, collaborating and communication skills. It is necessary to be fluent in English, both written and spoken alike. French will be appreciated but not required.
