hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Gva Consultants Aktiebolag i Göteborg The purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise and knowledge of semi-submersibles offshore platforms, FPSO?s (Floating Production and Oil Storage) and other floating and fixed offshore structures within the areas of Structural Analysis to ensure successful projects, carry out structural related tasks as well as provide support and assistance through mentoring others and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Plan, lead and execute project tasks in the area of structural analysis according to classification rules.
Plan, lead and carry out Finite Element analysis using the SESAM or Femap/Nastran software packages.
Be responsible for and carry out the following structural analysis tasks to ensure project deliverables are on time and to a high standard:
Lead and perform analysis of ship-shaped structures with DNV software Nauticus Hull.
Lead and perform analysis of FPSO?s and semi-submersibles with ABS software Eagle FPSO and OSAP.
Plan, lead and carry out analysis of beam structures using DNV software 3D-Beam.
Be responsible for the documentation of the performed work by writing structural analysis reports.
Make decisions on structural analysis problems and methods, and represent the company on conferences to resolve important technical questions or to negotiate with key engineers of other organizations.
Qualifications and Experience
M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
10 years experience of structural analysis of ships and floating offshore structures.
Well developed knowledge in the area of fatigue analysis and buckling analysis, practical experience is required.
Well developed knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification societies, practical experience is required.
Knowledge of the DNV software suite SESAM.
Knowledge of Femap/Nastran software.
Previous experience from working in a supervisor or team leader role.
Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English are required.

Ability to analyze advanced engineering issues and effectively solves problems through gathering relevant information and expert input.
