Nasdaq is now looking for a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Stockholm. As a Principal Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing and developing information technology solutions for our external and internal clients. You will be a part of the Market Tech Index Development team, working with our machine learning-based analytics platform and our Nasdaq Index Calculator.
Our work is done in close collaboration with our global customers and so you will get the opportunity to travel to places like Singapore, Istanbul and/or New York.
The role entails responsibilities such as:
* Develop new functionality with very high quality in a limited time
* Lead a tight team of back-end developers spread across Stockholm, London and New York
Education and Professional accomplishments:
* Master's degree in a discipline related to Computer Science and/or a master in finance or mathematics
* 12 + years of relevant working experience
Skills and Requirements:
* In-depth experience of Java SE and/or C/C++
* Understanding of how to write robust mission-critical code
* Experience with distributed systems
* Experience with development of low latency/high performance systems is a merit
* Experience with machine learning and/or data science is a merit
* Experience with cloud-related technologies
* Experience with code generation is a merit
* Experience with Spring, Maven and networking/NIO is a merit
