Job Summary:
We are seeking a Principal to join our dynamic team. This role will focus primarily on investment activities and investor relationships for our two active funds, while also supporting the end-to-end investment and divestment process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about venture capital operations and deal execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment activities from sourcing to analysis, investment terms negotiation, documentation, portfolio management, investee support, and exit transactions.
Investor relationship from fundraising of funds to strategic service to LP investors.
Other managerial tasks led by Managing Partners.
Investment and Portfolio Growth Activities
• Source and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities across Europe.
• Conduct market, competitive, and financial analysis to support investment theses.
• Prepare investment memos and support due diligence processes.
• Coordinate with legal counsel on investment documentation and execution.
• Support negotiation of investment terms and conditions.
• Assist in preparing materials for internal committees and LP updates.
• Support and monitor portfolio companies' growth, together with a leading Partner.
• Contribute to other investment-related projects as required.
Investor Relations Activities
• Lead market intelligence initiatives for reporting.
• Collaborate directly with LPs for future business development, collaboration, and co-investment.
• Build relationships to support the fundraising activities of future funds.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in VC operations.
• Strong Japanese language expertise.
• Familiarity with fund structures, LP-GP dynamics, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; high attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership.
• International culture fit: trusted by multiple stakeholders in different cultures.
• Experience with company board members and/or observers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, law, or a related field.
