Here's an opportunity to join the Product Design R&D team at J&J in Helsingborg, in a position where you will be a part of innovating and formulating new products. Always with consumers expectations of performance and sensory profiles in focus. Working to assure the highest quality standards within all phases of the development.
Main duties:
The responsibilities of the Product Design team in Helsingborg are to develop products for the J&J self-care global and regional product portfolio. The main focus for Helsingborg R&D lies within the three areas Smoking Cessation, Digestive Health and Cough & Cold and this team focuses on the two latter areas. As a Principal Scientist you will have the opportunity to plan and carry out pharmaceutical development studies for different dosage forms such as film coated tablets, liquids and chewing gums. The work is mainly performed in bench top lab scale, pilot scale but you will also be involved in scale up to production scale. Product Design are responsible for early prototyping, formulation, manufacturing of clinical batches, tech transfer to manufacturing sites as well as documentation to support regulatory submissions.
You will have a wide variety of contacts in your job, as an increasing amount of the development work is performed externally which gives you the chance to support development projects executed by partnering companies. You will also engage with external technology providers, both to contribute in the evaluations of external technologies, where your expertise will play a key role and help assure that project requirements and timelines are met.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role we believe that you have worked at least three years with formulation in the Pharmaceutical industry. With this said, your knowledge is wide in pharmaceutical dosage forms with various active pharmaceutical ingredients and you have a good understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). You have a MSc within relevant chemistry or pharmaceutical area. You also have excellent skills in English and Swedish both orally and in writing.
You enjoy collaborating and building relationships in your daily work, both in person and virtually. You are curious and innovative by nature. We also see that you enjoy leading teams, as well as being the technical expert all along with good structure driving projects forward and delivering results.
It will be seen as a merit if you have a successful track record of patent applications.
