Development Operations is here to deliver science through a wide range of specialist expertise, operational excellence and data driven innovation. This is a truly exciting period for us at AstraZeneca. We have a pipeline that presents outstanding opportunities to push the boundaries of science to deliver medicines to patients which will positively impact their lives. We are therefore recruiting a Principle Medical Communication Scientist.
The Medical Communications Science (MCS) group delivers communication excellence to achieve successful submissions and approvals through the conversion of clinical data into knowledge for the benefit of patients. This is achieved through:
* Driving an aligned communication strategy from Study Design Concept to submissions and approvals.
* Critical thinking to improve the robustness of design and interpretation.
* Authoring high-quality documents to facilitate rapid approvals of the best possible label.
As a team, we author clinical-regulatory documents that align with project strategies, regulatory requirements, and communications best-practices. We support the Company's core therapeutic areas in all phases of clinical development, playing a key part in delivering medicines to patients most in need as swiftly as we can. What you'll do
As a Principle Medical Communication Scientist, you will provide communications leadership to early/late stage drug projects and drive strategic medical writing, advocating communications excellence in your team.
Essential for the role
We expect you to have a degree in Life Sciences and preferably an MSc or PhD (or equivalent). You'll of course have proven regulatory writing experience from within the pharmaceutical industry and a real passion for helping us to achieve our goal of changing lives.
