Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to independly produce reports, drawings and calculations related to the Hydrodynamics Analysis ares in model design of semi-submersibles offshore platforms, FPSO's and other floating and fixed offshore structures using company approved software packages and according to classification rules; to ensure successful projects.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Plan, lead and execute delegated project tasks in the area of hydrodynamic analysis.
• Plan, lead and carry out Global Motion and Mooring analysis to ensure project deliverables are on time and at a high standard.
• Plan lead and perform wind and wave models and Dynamic
• Positioning capability analysis.
• Be responsible for the documentation of performed work by checking and approving analysis reports.
• Participate in R&D projects and provide guidance within the field of Stability Analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

• M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 10 years proven experience within the hydrodynamics field and 2 years within the offshore industry.
• Well developed knowledge in the area of global motion and mooring analysis, practical experience is required.
• Well developed knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification societies, practical experience is required.
• Previous experience from working in a supervisor of team leader role.
• Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in English and Swedish are required.
