Do you want to solve problems that matter?

Be a product owner of the system and software infrastructure.

If yes, let us give you an introduction of our journey!

Connected, electric, highly-automated and autonomous vehicles are making their way into our lives, and it's happening fast! This paradigm shift in the automotive industry introduces new demands on our speed of development. This is where our new agile way of working comes into the picture. One important part in the setup is a newly created agile release train with a mission to collect the resources in the SW integration and system infrastructure areas.
The aim is to improve the efficiency around integration and system releases. To do fast integrations, shorten loop times and change tools so we get closer to continues integration and later hopefully continues deployment.

We are looking for a Product manager (PM) in a newly started train called System and Software Infrastructure.

About the position
Product Management is accountable for content decisions for the release train.

Product Management has content authority for the Program Backlog. They are responsible for identifying Customer needs, prioritizing Features, guiding the work and developing the trains Vision and Roadmap.

Besides the PM the train leadership will consist of a system architect for SW, a system architect for infrastructure and a Release train engineer (all 4 positions are advertised simultaneously).

We are working with forming the teams and the train is about to start its first loop, when the train is fully up and running it will consist of somewhere between 60 to 100 persons. As examples some of the teams in the train are: continous integration, SW build, communication and power platform.

Lean enterprises focus on delivering the right solutions to customers with the highest quality in the shortest sustainable lead time. This requires people with explicit content authority to take responsibility for continuously defining, prioritizing, and validating requirements. Working closely with development, in short, integrated learning cycles, Product Management bring the voice of the customer to the developers and the voice of development to the customer.
As a PM for this train you get an opportunity to work with both leadership, the coolest embedded technology and being an important part of our ability to increase speed and creativity.

In this position you are in the middle of a continuous transformation and have the possibility to make an impact on Volvos products and future.
