Roles and Responsibilities:
The Advanced Device Technology Division of TSMC has an opportunity in the area of advanced devices and materials for future CMOS. The position requires extensive background in research of advanced tunneling field effect transistors based on III-V semiconductors. Research scope is vertical structures such as heteroepitaxial nanowires for use in TFET and on-chip light emitters (LED, laser). The candidate will utilize device process capabilities, growth techniques such as MOCVD, ALD, and related analytical techniques at the University to develop vertical TFET architectures and simple circuits employing such devices. The candidate will also strongly interact with University research personnel and the TSMC core team located at Leuven in Belgium and other R&D partners of TSMC.
Qualifications:
1. PhD or Masters degree in Materials Science, Engineering or Physics with strong semiconductor background.
2. Strong interest and ability in self-driven exploratory research
Languages: Very good oral and written communication skills in English language are a prerequisite
Key Experience: World leading researcher in III-V TFET architecture, materials, and manufacturing
Personal Attributes:The candidate must be able to work independently and assume responsibilities in an unfamiliar environment.
