Are you aware of "Zero Accident Vision" and "Vision Zero"? Are you passionate about applying technologies to make the world a better place? Do you want to join the journey of realizing the vision with your knowledge and experience in functional safety? If yes, let us give you an introduction of our journey!

Connected, electric, highly-automated and autonomous vehicles are making their way into our lives, and it's happening fast! Nevertheless, this paradigm shift in the automotive industry introduces new security and safety challenges that used to be more associated with "IT Security" and "Aviation Safety", respectively. This is where the Cybersecurity and Functional Safety Group comes into the picture not only to strengthen prevailing safety expertise and culture but also to address contemporary security and safety risks of electrical and/or electronic systems of vehicles and transport solutions.

About the position
We are aiming for strengthening our functional safety team with your personal touch in defining our future direction. This position relies on your knowledge and hands-on experience of working with functional safety to be able to "Challenge the Impossible!" in realizing "Zero Accident Vision" and "Vision Zero".

You will be part of a dedicated team and contribute as a technical leader in the area of functional safety. You are expected to propose and specify technical concepts and solutions to meet the functional safety requirements of electrical and/or electronic systems of our products.

You will actively contribute to the implementation and follow-up of ISO 26262 compliance in terms of processes, methods and tools. Your responsibilities include development, deployment and maintenance of ISO 26262 related guidelines and instructions. These activities are performed in a cross-functional manner involving colleagues from different Volvo Group functions and organizations.

You prepare course materials and deliver trainings in ISO 26262 and functional safety for our employees. You coach and support engineers for ISO 26262 specific activities such as hazard analysis and functional safety concepts. Furthermore, you have possibilities of participating in research, technology development, advanced engineering and standardization activities in functional safety.

This position offers numerous possibilities of interacting with people, experts and engineers across different organizations within Volvo Group and external entities. This position thus offers you a complete ecosystem to advance your personal and professional growth to the next level.

Interesting and challenging? Are we a good match? Perfect, join the ride and make a difference!
