WHO ARE WE?
The heavy-duty diesel future will be very interesting but also a demanding challenge. There is a need to take big steps in reducing CO2 and comply with the even more restricted emission legislation. Further work with alternative fuels solutions will also be a part of this work and our future. The FIE Team is growing. We are 11 engineers from 6 different countries working together in Gothenburg having daily interaction with our colleagues in Brazil, USA and France. Our team within Fuel Injection Systems at Powertrain Engineering is now looking for a new team member for the position as Principal Engineer Fuels and Adblue Specialist!
WHAT CHALLENGES DO WE OFFER?
In this position you will be building knowledge and awareness about fuel specification and quality globally. You will use your learnings supporting the Complete Engine and the Fuel Injection System development from conceptual phase to engine testing and maintenance as a part of a global cross-functional team involving Purchasing, After Market and Manufacturing. We also believe it is important that you have the ability to lead a cross-functional team and secure the deliveries in time and with the expected quality within your scope of Fuel Filter Module and Fuel Filters.
Key experience and knowledge for the role:
Master of Science or similar technical education.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
5 years of experience in the automotive business within powertrain development.
Good knowledge on engine combustion fundamentals and controls, Adblue and Fuel characteristics and fuel/engine interactions.
Knowledge about filtration is a merit.
If you also have experience from Volvo Group Trucks Technology Organization and specifically Powertrain Engineering that is considered a merit. We also consider it a merit if you have knowledge in systems and tools such as KOLA, PDMlink, Protus, Protom, Knox, EDB, Argus, Creo, Tech tool, JIRA.
