In Powertrain engineering we are looking for a Principal Engineer. This position will be appointed in the Fuel Injection system team in the Combustion department.
The team is responsible to develop sub systems for engine's Fuel Injection system, high pressure system, fuel filtration and fuel supply system The team is responsibility to break down the requirements, develop, verify and validate system and components to well defined targets. As a Principal engineer you will also be a part of the powertrain system engineering team covering the complete engine.
The Principal Engineer leads the Fuel Injection Equipment system on a global level for heavy duty engine platform. Through collaboration with other system engineers, other sites and cross functional stakeholders you will balance and define system requirements, set system roadmaps and recommend system solutions to projects. The Principal Engineer is active in the complete lifecycle of the system and in particular lead activities from pre-development to early phases in engine projects.

What are we looking for?
To succeed and have fun in the position we believe you are knowledgeable in both internal combustion theories; engine controls systems and hardware design. You will be responsible for system recommendations and strategies in both different management- and engineering forums. It is therefore important that you have good communication abilities. To drive the work of closing knowledge gaps and to create technical offers meeting our customers' requirements it 's important to be self-motivated and a self-starter. You will lead development activities with stakeholders from different technical disciplines and from different cultures. Team work, respect for the individual and energy are key words for us.
M. SC / PhD or similar technical knowledge
At least 5 years' experience in Engine development
